Qatar Fine Arts Society
Was founded in February 1980 and gathered 18 members. The society holds three-day workshops where international participants can eat , drink, have fun and of course paint . It has a small library open to the public with books an pamphlets in Arabic, English, f=French and Chinese. Today, 150 artists - Qatari and Qatari residents - are part of the society.Qatar Fine Arts Society's aim is to promote and support Qatar's artists locally and internationally. Throughout the years, the society organized many exhibitions, events, debates and launched publications. The society has also established connections with many Arab and international organizations that share the same visions and goals. Open Sunday to Thursday 5 pm - 9 pm.
