Restaurants & Night Life

Dining out is practically a past time in Doha, and from celebrity chef - endorsed fine dining to casual street cafes, the capital's residents are spoilt for choice. Doha's dining scene is growing all the time, offering everything from basic budget canteen-style places to top notch designer dining. Prices are reasonable in comparison to some parts of the world. If you fancied a glass of wine with your meal, you had to go to a hotel restaurant. The upside of the hotel bar scene is that you're likely to find yourself hanging out in some truly amazing venues that, because of the location and cost, you might never have considered trying back home. The Licensing laws have got stricter for bars and nightclubs in Doha. You need now to present identification and, in some places, buy a membership card to gain entry. The busiest nights are wednesday, thursday and Friday, so be sure to book ahead where possible.

Restaurants and hotels of all levels and budget put on extensive spreads for a fixed time period, available for fixed price. All-you-can-eat options, including choice of house beverages or soft options, are usually available in licensed venues.
