Virtually all expatriates working in Qatar rent their property, and many are on employment contracts that include free or heavily subsidized housing, furniture and utilities.

Rented apartments and villas in Doha come furnished, semi-furnished and unfurnished, with or without the air conditioners, its better to check what exactly is included in your contract before you sign it. Most Villas are in compounds that have a number of facilities within, ranging from swimming pools, gyms, clubhouses and even kid's play areas. Only few apartment buildings offer these amenities and they tend to be a little expensive. There are also a few leasehold properties on the market open to expats, though most are currently under construction.
