Shafallah Center for Children with Special Needs The Shafallah Center, located in the capital city of Doha, currently provides quality special education, intensive physical therapy and family support services. The Shafallah Center serves children with autism, learning disabilities and mental and physical disabilities. Services offered at the center are educational, vocational, psychological, and therapeutic; including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, behavior analysis/therapy and music therapy. The staff at the center are comprised of Qataris, people from the Middle East, as well as all over the world. Arabic is the main language as a majority of children speak Arabic only, some are able to understand English. The Center works hand in hand with over 30 schools in the country to provide a variety of services for all children. It also runs special weekly workshops for parents and teachers. The curriculum is based on the British Special Educational Needs programme and the centre has qualified staff, teachers, therapists and psychologists.
