Most expatriates either get married in their own countries or travel abroad. For those that do wish to marry in Qatar, each embassy's rules differ and you must get information from your embassy before proceeding. Certain embassies do perform marriage ceremonies.

For Muslims married after l957, Applicants should apply to the President of the Sharia Court, P.O. Box 232, Doha, and furnish names of both spouses and date of marriage. Documents are released in Arabic only.
