I am a malaysian and am offered a job in qatar by a qatar company. I don't really know about the cost of living in this country. I am a professional with more than 10 years experience. What is the range of salary that I should ask for? Appreciate your feedback.

That totally depends upon you and your company/employer. you can get 4000 you can get 20000+..
As long as the cost of living is concerned, the rents here are very high. So if you are coming with your family, you should spare atleast 4000QR for the rent. That is the minimum. For other expenses for a family of three QR 2000 is good amount for the whole month. You need a car as well.. So now calculate :) The benefit here is .. There is no TAX on your salary. whatever you earn is yours.

depends on the company from where you getting the job..
and coast of living here is getting high so if you are coming with your family i guess you should ask for accommodation from the company..and ask for other allowance
and salary is totally TAX free here...
