Hey all,
I wasn't sure where to post this so I've put it in here. My partner and I are moving out to Qatar at the end of August to start working at the British Montassori school in Doha!
We are really looking forward to it, if not a little nervous!
I was wondering if anyone had any snippets of advice for us - you know, anything we should bring or anything we should know before we move out there??
Thanks all, looking forward to getting to where you are!

Welcome to Qatar
Doha is a real nice place to be.... Clothing, electronics, furniture, and groceries from all over the world are available here. I think what you need to carry would be atleast a years supply of medicine (till you get settled and are comfortable with the docters here), all your medical documents, incase you are bringing a pet over... some pet toys and accesories, books if you like to read (there are very few bookstores here and they can be expensive) and alternative music (you get mostly mainstream music here), I think apart from that maybe afew english goodies (food).... Before you get here you should make sure the package you are getting includes your housing. One of the biggest problems here are the escalating rents.

Re: We're moving to Qatar!
or live outside of Doha. Rent is cheaper and it's not that far to commute.
