Held at Doha's Al-Sadd Club and Al-Majlis Hall every January, the Fencing Grand Prix is a tournament open to all fencers holding a FIE licence. Organised by the Qatar Fencing Federation, it offers total prize money of US$31,000.

While the tournament is growing in importance every year, few of Europe's big guns make the trip. This provides the perfect opportunity for the up-and-coming players to make their mark, and US$2 million.
The PGA European Tour and its American counterpart, the PGA Tour, are the richest and most celebrated golfing competitions in the world. While the lure of the dollar has enticed many players to the US, the European Tour remains an extremely lucrative alternative and now includes events as far afield as South Africa, Australia, Qatar, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
For the European stars on the Tour there is more at stake than pure financial reward: the top 10 players are automatically selected for the European Team to play against the US in the Ryder Cup. Save winning one of the majors, competing in this competition is the pinnacle of a golfer's career. |

This prestigious and exclusive series was founded with the aim to globally endorse the sport of diving, which has been an Olympic sport for men since 1904 and for women since 1912.
In March of 2009, Doha, Qatar will have the honor to welcome the best divers in the world by hosting the opening competition of the 2009 series. |
