Event Date: 31 Dec, 1969 to 31 Dec, 1969 The 2007-2008 exhibition includes the work of twelve teaching faculty members of three academic departments at VCUQatar: Art Foundation, Graphic Design and Fashion Design. The works shown present diversity of the cultural background, artistic creativity and research interests. The scope of the exhibitors' works spans from graphic design, calligraphy, painting, collage, ceramic, mixed-media, sculpture to film, and in most cases comprise works that have been created in response to the cultural environment in which all of them live at present. Held at venues throughout Doha, including the Visual Arts Centre, Alwaseel auditorium - Ritz Carlton, the city centre and a number of shopping malls, the annual cultural festival brings together theatre, poetry, music, dance, exhibitions, lectures and much more.

Watch out for the Heritage Village, presenting local shows such as the popular "men jump" (alardah) and the exhibition programme at the Visual Art Centre, which ranges from photography, video and installation to sculpture and other artistic work. Theatre events include a variety of plays, ballet and opera performances, from internationally renowned shows like La Traviata to local theatrical interpretations.
